Season's Greetings
In case tomorrow's festivities decrease online time, we'd like to take this time to wish everyone a happy holidays. Whether Christmas is your thing or not, this is a time of year that should be about getting together with friends and family. At the very least, those gatherings can't be any more of a disaster than poor Clark Griswold's earnest attempt for a fine family Christmas.

Just In: WWF Promo Photos
One of the more interesting things pulled from yesterday's haul were several 8x10 color promos from 1990. A few of them were from a joint WWF-Toys R Us promotional effort. The others were available through the WWF's merchandise catalog or by joining their fan club.
These are tough to come by, but we've kept things affordable by pricing them comparably to the market. Better yet, shipping is free, whether you buy one or five.
The photos are a less orthodox way of reliving a colorful era in pro wrestling. Check them all out here.

Just In: Giant WWF PPV Programs
It's always fun to dig up something a bit unusual to share with everyone. Here's one of those instances. Before WWE saturated the market with pay-per-view events, there was your basic four (or if you're a purist, two or three) events each year. Programs from these events were one of the easiest ways to capture the essence of each show long after the event had finished.
For Summerslam '94, the WWF began a brief stint of releasing giant-sized programs for their PPV events. These magazines differed from the standard PPV programs in two distinct ways:
Summerslam '94
Survivor Series '94
Royal Rumble '95
Wrestlemania XI
For Summerslam '94, the WWF began a brief stint of releasing giant-sized programs for their PPV events. These magazines differed from the standard PPV programs in two distinct ways:
- Size: The actual dimensions of the magazines dwarfed the standard program, measuring about 13 inches in length. This drove home the idea that the fan was buying something that shouldn't be trashed at the end of the night when the event was over.
- A huge poster: This actually started with the Survivor Series '94 program. For the extra five bucks, people who bought these huge programs also got a massive pull-out poster. These bad boys were practically worth the price of admission alone, measuring over 40 inches in length.

Just In: Vintage WWF Magazines & Programs
I get to thumb through a lot of cool stuff going through the restocking process. Few items give me more enjoyment than WWF magazines, specifically from the mid to late 1980s.
There's just something about those particular magazines that make it tough to actually list them with the intention of selling them to someone else. I fight the temptation to just sock them away in my private stash.
This week brought forth a mighty temptation: 25 WWF Magazines and programs from this specific era. That these magazines were in especially great condition only made it tougher to list them with the knowledge that they'll probably be fleeing from my life very soon.
But my loss is your gain. And what a gain. Here are some of the highlights from this batch:
- WWF Magazine August/September 1985 (Roddy Piper, Cyndi Lauper, Iron Sheik, Nicolai Volkoff cover)
- WWF Magazine October/November 1984 (Hulk Hogan/Wendi Richter cover)
- WWF Magazine August/September 1984 (Lou Albano, Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper cover)
- WWF Program Vol. 102 (Bob Backlund/Sgt. Slaughter cover)

Item of the Day (11.20.09): Survivor Series 1990
Today we continue our admiration of the annual November PPV tradition: Survivor Series. We're going to zoom in on the fourth installment of the event, because it's always been a personal favorite of mine.
There are so many reasons to check out this event, but I'll save us a couple hours and keep the list limited to the cream of the crop:
There are so many reasons to check out this event, but I'll save us a couple hours and keep the list limited to the cream of the crop:
- The Debut of The Undertaker: Yes, folks. This is where it all started. As you'll notice from the video cover above, The Undertaker made his WWF debut as a mystery partner. And what a mystery partner. This debut and match becomes more interesting to look at with each passing year The Undertaker rules the ring.
- 40 WWF Superstars: One thing I've always loved about classic Survivor Series is the sheer amount of talent you go through that ring in one evening. It's such a great representation of where the company was at that time and what they had to offer.
- Vince McMahon's intense match introductions: This and the 1989 edition of Survivor Series are two of my favorites. Part of this is because of the opening match rundown narrated by the ever-intense Vince McMahon as that vintage Survivor Series theme pounds in the background. I've seen both intros hundreds of times (no exaggeration), but they never lose any of their luster.
- The Gobblygooker: Yup. Another debut, albeit, memorable for all of the wrong reasons. After weeks of hype as to the contents of this giant egg, we were treated with what would eventually become to be remembered as one of the worst characters in modern wrestling history.

Item of the Day (11.15.09): Survivor Series '87
With Survivor Series just around the corner, now seems like the time to reflect on some of the previous Survivor Series events that have made the annual PPV such a staple in our wrestling calendar.
Debuting in November 1987, the Survivor Series originally centered on tag team competition where the object was to...survive. In the event's first year, the team competition involved teams of five squaring off. Though limited to four matches on the card, the first Series is still a fan favorite today for several reasons. Here are some:

In the event's first year, the team competition involved teams of five squaring off. Though limited to four matches on the card, the first Series is still a fan favorite today for several reasons. Here are some:
- The in-ring return of Andre the Giant. Andre hadn't stepped into the ring since his famous match with Hulk Hogan the previous March at Wrestlemania III. The main event, which featured both men leading their team against the other, marked Andre's return to active competition.
- The 20-man tag match. One thing the first Series did was display how deep the WWF was in its tag team division. This match collect 10 tag teams and throws them all into the same ring for one fun exhibition. We've got a ton of legends involved: Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid, Demolition, Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, Dino Bravo, and so many more. Clocking in at nearly an hour, this match easily steals the show.
- The tag team format. It sounds weird now that we're over two decades removed from the event. But this five-on-five format was a novel concept at the time. To see virtually every star in the promotion come together on the same card was something that was virtually unheard of at the time.

Item of the Day (11.12.09): WWF Program Vol. 150
Everyone who ever went to a pro wrestling event shares some common bonds. Of course there was some wrestling (I hope). There was certainly a merchandise booth. And last, but certainly not least, event programs. For just a five-spot, you got a nice full-color magazine that included the evening's match lineup.
Event programs get us a little more nostalgic than other items given their placement at live wrestling events. That's why we like to stock up on vintage programs, specifically those from the WWF. Today, let's take a glimpse at the 150th volume of the WWF Program.
Featuring The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase on the cover, this magazine's already got one strong selling point. You can't ever have too many magazines with Ted DiBiase on the cover. Secondly, there's a lot of great articles on other stars from the era (1988), such as the One Man Gang, Jake the Snake Roberts, Kamala, and Bam Bam Bigelow.
I'm telling you, there's nothing quite like passing a quiet evening by reading a nice feature on Kamala. So what are you waiting for? Jump on this magazine for an attractive price. And be sure to check out the other wrestling programs we have, because each one ships for just a buck a piece after the first magazine.

Item of the Day (11.11.09): World Tour 1990
Today we're going on a trip. But you won't need to even leave your couch to see Japan, Paris, and more. That is, of course, if you have World Tour 1990.
This is the first installment of Coliseum Video's annual trip around the world. For each release, they compiled a series of matches and vignettes from areas of the globe. But that isn't good enough on its own. What about the matches, you might ask.
For starters, we've got Randy Savage clashing with Hulk Hogan, Ted DiBiase going after the Ultimate Warrior's title, and The Rockers mixing it up with the Rougeau Brothers in a classic encounter.
This baby is priced to move, too. At $9.95 plus $3 for shipping, you can see venues from around the world for cheaper than it costs to check your back at an airport. Give it a shot today.

Item of the Day (11.10.09)
We admittedly keep the eBay store packed with a lot of items. And though we try to make browsing it easier through the specific categories, it's still possible for items to go under your radar. That's what Item of the Day is for. Each day, we'll spotlight an item from our store and let you know why we think it should be in your home.
And with that, our inaugural Item of the Day...Hulkamania 3.
The year was 1988. Reagan was holding down the fort in the White House. Hair bands were not yet irrelevant. And Hulkamania was running wild for non-nostalgic reasons. The WWF and Coliseum Video had already cashed in on the Hulkamania craze with two installments of the Hulkamania series.
But with Hogan's recent feud with long-time buddy Andre the Giant, it was time to cash in once more. And so, Coliseum Video pumped out Hulkamania 3 for video distributors in early 1988. Subtitled "The Giant Betrayal," this installment of Hulkamania focused on his program with Andre the Giant. Everything from the initial betrayal on Piper's Pit to the infamous twin referee angle on The Main Event.
There's a lot more to this two-hour video than just Hogan and Andre, though. We've got Bam Bam Bigelow, Ted DiBiase, Randy Savage, and several more rounding out the cast. If you're only vaguely familiar with this epic feud, this is the video you must add to your collection now. The video contains a whopping 15 segments to fill in the pieces between the actual matches.
So why wait? You'll get the original VHS, coupled with its original, unaltered slipcase. Moreover, you get this bad boy shipped your way for FREE. There simply aren't cheaper, more reliable ways to get this video into your VCR. Check it out here.

Coming Soon: Blog-Exclusive Products
There's an old saying that suggests you not keep all of your eggs in one basket. While eBay has allowed The Retropolis to interact with thousands of people over the years, the increased fees each year make it tougher to keep pricing on our items attractive to all of you.
So starting this week, we're going to try something different. We're going to start posting some items here and on our Facebook page. These items will not be on eBay, meaning the only way you can get them is by coming to the blog or our Facebook page.
Without the eBay fees to worry about, we'll be able to reduce item costs even further, meaning YOU reap the benefits. We have some neat items coming in soon, so we'll get the ball rolling with those. Stay tuned.

Just In: Classic Summerslam Videos
Let's start with the year's hottest annual event: Summerslam. We got our grubby little paws on the earliest of these now legendary events. Click the link of the event name to get a direct route to the actual video for sale.
- Summerslam '88: The beginning of something special. The first Summerslam features a blockbuster main event of Hulk Hogan teaming up with Macho Man Randy Savage to battle Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant. Of note elsewhere is the Ultimate Warrior's surprising and convincing win over the Honky Tonk Man to capture his first WWF gold. This video is from a private collection, which means it was never a rental. Fantastic.
- Summerslam '89: This one's priced to move. As you can see, the case has seen better days. But you can't always judge a book by its cover. The video contains a collection of great matches including the Ultimate Warrior versus Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect against the Red Rooster, The Hart Foundation versus The Brainbusters, and much more. This is perfect for the fan who just wants the event.
- Summerslam '90: The heat returns with some more great summer matches. Kerry Von Erich makes his WWF PPV debut in great fashion, Demolition's final Summerslam is an up and down affair, and Rick Rude's only PPV shot at the WWF title is confined to a steel cage.
Just In: Over 30 Wrestling Videos
Time flies. We're sorry the blog has become something of a red-headed stepchild the last couple of months. That's about to change, because there's a ton of new stuff rolling in. We've added over 30 vintage wrestling videos to the shop in the past week. There's so much new stuff, it's tough to decide where to start.
We're going to pace ourselves and break this up into several entries. This way, all the videos get the spotlight and not just a couple. Stay tuned.

Just In: WWF Spotlight Magazines
The WWF Spotlight series from WWF Magazine was always a personal favorite of mine. Even if you didn't particularly like the wrestler, the in-depth series of articles and historic photos made for an interesting package.
I just added five of these to the store. These are all in fantastic shape, and include their often-missing giant pull-out poster. I've seen these posters go for $20+ each if they're in good enough shape. This is a good chance to snag both the poster and the companion magazine.

Some Announcements
Hope everyone is enjoying their day off. There's been little rest with us, as we've been burning the midnight oil to make some big changes for The Retropolis. So let's get our hands dirty and delve into these announcements.
- You can now visit our store by going to theretropolis.com. We hope to get a Web store independent of eBay by November. Until then, this will make it easier to access our eBay store.
- Check out our newly designed store front. After four years of the same store front, the time had come to retool it. Gone are several categories. In their place, you'll see more specific categories for our wrestling videos and magazines. Aaron and I worked diligently all weekend to get this finished by this morning, so have a look. We think you'll like it.
- We are now a sponsor of The History of WWE. For those of you who don't know, this is the definitive Web site for wrestling history. Need to know a match result from a PPV 20 years back? How about a house show result from 1992? Need a recap of TV show or an interview with a wrestling legend? This is your place for those needs and so much more. If you haven't already, check out the fantastic Web site, along with the message board. And don't forget to join the Facebook group. Speaking of Facebook...
- We're on there, too, now. Become a fan of ours by joining the group.

Just In: OOP WWF DVDs
Long time, no update. We've been plugging away at keeping fresh stock coming into our eBay store. We recently added a number of out-of-print WWF, ECW, and WWE DVDs. Here are some of the highlights.
- Undertaker Two-Shot: Here's a chance to pick up a pair of Undertaker DVDs for one price. Included is his 2001 release This Is My Yard, a great set that includes a career retrospective program plus several classic Undertaker matches. Included are such memorable encounters as the first Hell in a Cell Match against Shawn Michaels, his icon showdown with HHH at Wrestlemania X-7, and his battles with brother Kane in 1998. Then there's He Buries Them Alive, which you Coliseum Video fanatics will recognize as a release from CV during the mid-90s. You'll get previously unseen battles with the likes of Jim Neidhart and Jerry Lawler there.
- Summerslam '99: The recent anthology releases of the big WWF PPVs has some viewers deeming the original video and DVD releases obsolete. Not true. These original releases feature no music or blurring edits, which is unfortunately not the case with the anthology sets. But there's good news. You can score Summerslam '99, one of these events hampered with edits in the new release, here with no edits at a great price. There's the triple-threat main event between HHH, Mankind and Steve Austin featuring the return of Jesse Ventura. There's also a forgotten classic in Test vs. Shane McMahon. And don't miss other old favorites such as DX, The Undertaker, Big Show, Chris Jericho, The Rock, and more.
- Hardy Boyz- Leap of Faith: It's hard to believe the Hardy Boyz have effectively been entertaining fans for over a decade. Get back to their roots, with this OOP DVD that recaps the cream of the crop from the duo's first two years in the WWF. Classic encounters with Edge & Christian, The Acolytes, and The Dudleyz are chronicled for your viewing pleasure.

Check Out: Our eBay Guides
One of the better aspects of being a registered member of eBay is the ability to post reviews and guides. Designed to provide information about products or offer guidelines to fellow eBayers, this sector of eBay continues to serve as a hub of knowledge.
As with any database dependent on community contributions, eBay's reviews and guides section relies on authorities on various products and guidelines to realize its maximum potential. With this in mind, we contributed a series of guides to LJN's WWF Wrestling Superstars line. This two-part guide gives an overview of the five-year collection. We encourage you to give them a look, rate them, and offer any suggestions.

Just In: Early 1990s Coliseum Video
Just because summer is starting to wane doesn't mean available wrestling footage at The Retropolis is following suit. We're packing the shelves with a nice assortment of early 1990s wrestling footage, predominantly from Coliseum Video.
As per the usual, you'll find our price among the best around the 'net. And just to sweeten the deal, there's free shipping on virtually every video. Here are some favorites from the latest wave of additions:
Monday Night RAW Prime Cuts (1994): Simply put, this is one of Coliseum's best offerings from both a wrestling an historical aspect. This two-hour video chronicles the first year of the innovative TV series. You'll find a collection of critical matches, such as the famous Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels Intercontinental title match, 20-man battle royal to crown a new IC champion, and the third encounter between Doink the Clown and Mr. Perfect in the King of the Ring qualifiers.
The Ultimate Warrior (1990): The Warrior was one of the most popular WWF superstars during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Common sense would tell you then that he got the individual video profile treatment. That was true three times over. This, the second Warrior release, remains incredibly tough to track down. Its inclusion in the more affordable Collector's Series line from CV means it was produced in smaller quantities.
4th Annual Survivor Series (1990): Even newer WWE fans are probably aware of this show, whether they're explicitly aware of that or not. That's because this show marks the WWF debut of The Undertaker. That coupled with the video's age has made it a tough find on secondary markets. And who can resist those glorious over-sized video cases Coliseum Video released their titles in from 1990 to 1992? Not I.

Just In: Wrestling Video Collection
No, those aren't bricks of cocaine piled up there. The white paper is filled with something nearly as addictive, though: hours and hours of classic wrestling footage. Check the eBay store for the latest. We've added quite a few affordable titles, in addition to some real gems. Here are some of the notables:
Wrestlefest '88: A one-time event that has become one of the more elusive entries from the Coliseum Video library. This is a pristine, non-rental, so don't delay. Chances are it'll go quickly.
Royal Rumble '90: You'll hear a lot about the '92 Rumble match. And with good reason. But this is right up there on the list as far as quality Rumbles go. A star-studded event. Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, DiBiase, Macho King, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes. The match was packed with potential sensible winners. The result is a fantastic Rumble match and the birth of the Warrior-Hogan storyline that concluded at Wrestlemania VI the following April.
Superbrawl II: Early WCW shows are tough to track down. This isn't an exception. Superbrawl II boasts some incredible wrestling, namely Lex Luger taking on Sting and Rick Rude battling with Ricky Steamboat.

An Update with Updates
Wow, has it really been nearly a month since our last update? Apologies all around. The commencement of true summer weather and subsequent activities has sort of consumed everything. Nevertheless, we're back at it and ready to amp up productivity for the lost time.
- We just ran a weekend-long sale on our top-shelf items. The response was so overwhelming that we're going to extend it and add more. We'll have a post about that very soon.
- There are some lofty wrestling video updates on the horizon. We just acquired a small, but impressive library of videos that we'll parcel off over the next 24 hours. Some great titles such as the original Wrestlefest in this lot.
- We're also going to keep with our own growing trend of keeping eBay stocked with rarely seen videos. There's too much saturation of the same videos on the Web site right now. It's time to do our part to offset that. As such, expect some great things from the late 1980s Coliseum Video era quite soon.
- Our inventory on non-wrestling items is taking up too much space right now, so we're prepping a huge blowout to generate some space. As always, stay tuned for an update on that.

How Well Do You Know the Wrestling Superstars Line?
Here's a fun little quiz I stumbled across while browsing Twitter the other evening. The quiz features 14 pictures from the LJN Wrestling Superstars line. Can you identify them all? I did. It looks like the quiz creator used a couple of our images, too. That Bruno Sammartino image is from way back in early 2006.
Anyway, here's the quiz. Let us know how you do.

- In Your House I: You wouldn't be much of a wrestling fan if you didn't acknowledge In Your House's humble beginnings. While the majority of the non-Big 5 WWE PPVs of today are big, stand-alone events, they owe their existence to what started out as a one-shot deal on PPV.
The first IYH event, housed on the above video, aired in May 1995 and was a two-hour event. Priced at just $15, the event seemed more like a gimmick to give away a house (which they did during the broadcast). WWF continued with the IYH events during the months the standard PPVs such as Summerslam and Survivor Series did not occur.
This show features a lackluster Diesel/Sid showdown, but is notable for a pair of great Bret Hart matches. Also note the pair of unaired bonus matches that the PPV audience missed out on. If nothing else, this will always be notable for being the show that got the ball rolling on monthly wrestling PPVs. Check it out here.
- Mega Matches '96: While the early IYH events often featured mediocre wrestling action, Good Friends, Better Enemies, the surname for the April 1996 IYH event, offered one of the best Shawn Michaels matches of the 1990s. His no-holds-barred WWF title match with Diesel is still an intense classic. Unfortunately, the event was released under the title Mega Matches '96 and released in limited quantities. This meant few people have been able to get their hands on the full PPV show from a commercial source. We've got it here and at the best price on eBay.
- It's Time: Finally, we have another full IYH show that few people have been able to commercially get their hands on. The 12th installment of the IYH series, It's Time, got steady release overseas. In the States, however, the show was released in extremely limited quantities. Today, you're lucky to find the show distributed by Coliseum Video on the secondary market. Again, we've got it in pristine condition for you and at a competitive price. Give it a glance here.
We're going to add some more classic WWF this afternoon, so check back for an update soon.

Just In: 1980s NWA & WCW Videos
We pride ourselves on providing one of the more versatile and affordable '80s wrestling footage selections on the 'net. We're backing that fact by adding a bevy of NWA and WCW videos from that time period to our eBay store this weekend. Read on to see some of the highlights of these additions.
- Starrcade '85: Whether the wrestling video business has been booming or not, this remains a rarely seen title. Though the third installment of the Starrcade series, this was the first one to get the commercial video treatment. We present a gem of a copy of the video at an undeniably attractive price. Check it out here.
- Great American Bash '86: Longtime fans will recall the Great American Bash started out as a multi-week summer tour. This diamond in the rough captures some of the best moments of the 1986 incarnation of that tour. As tough as the 1987 Bash is to find on commercial video, this one is even tougher. Give it a look here.
- Halloween Havoc '89: While many consider the Great American Bash from 1989 to be one of the best wrestling PPVs of all time, this event captures the fallout from some of the biggest angles that were birthed during that show. The first ever Halloween Havoc features a Thunderdome Cage match pitting Ric Flair and Sting against Terry Funk and The Great Muta. A sight to behold, for sure. You can see the full show rundown here.

Check Out: Our Amazing Spider-Man Titles
We may specialize in the squared circle here at The Retropolis, but we could never ignore all of the fabulous non-wrestling collectibles out there. Silver and Bronze Age comic books are also dear to our collective heart.
We've been burning the midnight oil to spruce up many of our comic listings the last several days. We're replacing the crude photos of the comics with beautiful, large color scans of both the front and back of our books.
The Amazing Spider-Man, a favorite of ours, is getting the makeover first. Check out the section of our eBay store that houses these great books to see what we mean. We've also slashed prices heavily as part of the makeover process. Keep checking back, as we'll be getting to all of our comics for this treatment in the coming weeks.

Spotlight: Best of the WWF Volume 20 (1989)
The 20-volume Best of the WWF series from Coliseum Video has always been one of my favorite elements of the company's 12-year run of distributing WWF footage. There was just something alluring about the sampler approach these videos took. You'd get some great matches, memorable interviews/segments, and other sorts of odds and ends that gave the series a distinct feel.
Today we're going to take a glance at Best of the WWF Vol. 20, the last installment in the five-year series. Or more aptly, we're going to spotlight the video.
Match Listing
- 2/11/89: Red Rooster vs. Brooklyn Brawler
- 4/22/89: Brutus Beefcake vs. Bad News Brown
- WWF King Match (4/25/89): Jim Duggan vs. King Haku
- 4/25/89: Jim Duggan Coronation
- 5/1/89: 16-Man Battle Royal (featuring Hart Foundation, Twin Towers, Demolition, Tito Santana, Mr. Perfect, Rick Martel and more)
- 2/3/89: The Hart Foundation vs. Jacques & Raymond Rougeau (with special guest referee Brother Love)
- WWF Title Match (1/9/88): Hulk Hogan vs. Rick Rude
A quick look at the listing should suggest "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan capturing the Fed's king title is the most notable part of this 90-minute compilation. Most fans of the era will recall that Duggan was the king for several months. But how many have seen the match where he won it? This is a great shot to see both the match and the coronation that followed.
The battle royal is also a nostalgic trip, as we get old favorites such as Demolition, Mr. Perfect, and Bret Hart.
The main event of the compilation is a rarely seen title defense for Hogan against Rude. This was not long into Rude's WWF run and was originally only seen by those who watched this Boston Garden show on NESN.
So where can you obtain this footage? With us, of course. Check it out here. Give a look at our other Best of the WWF offerings, as well. We'll be back this weekend with more Spotlight updates.

Spotlight: WWF Greatest Steel Cage Matches Ever (1992)
This installment of our Spotlight series takes us back to 1992 thanks to the good folks at Coliseum Video. WWF's Greatest Steel Cage Matches Ever! is a mouthful of a title, all right, but maybe that's because there's a lot on this 60-minute video to talk about.
Before we get rolling, let's check out the match listing:
Until next time, keep checking back for more product updates, sales alerts, and of course, Retropolis Spotlight features.
Before we get rolling, let's check out the match listing:
- 12/14/86: Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff
- 3/5/88: The Hart Foundation & Honky Tonk Man vs. Randy Savage & Strike Force
- 4/25/89: Hulk Hogan vs. Big Boss Man
- WWF Title Match (6/25/88): Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase
- Orndorff vs. Hogan: This aired a couple weeks later on Saturday Night's Main Event. It's a pretty famous match because of the false finish where both men had their feet hit the ground at the same moment. This also ended the epic feud between these two, which originated the previous summer.
- Hart Foundation/Honky Tonk Man vs. Strike Force/Macho Man: This is a rarely seen encounter. You don't see six-man cage matches too often and you almost never see them involving this type of talent. There's a good chance you've seen the other matches on this video before, but this is the match to get the video for. An overlook show-stealer.
- Hogan vs. Boss Man: A high point to their 1989 feud. These two locked up in the steel cage a number of times during the feud and they never disappointed.
- Macho Man vs. DiBiase: This cage match took place at Madison Square Garden and is one of the many matches these two had during 1989. For all the matches they had with each other, though, I can't say I've seen one that was anything less than good.
Until next time, keep checking back for more product updates, sales alerts, and of course, Retropolis Spotlight features.

Just In: WWF Arena Programs (1980s)
Browse our eBay store now for a fresh, hearty helping of WWF arena programs from the mid to late 1980s. These programs, distributed by WWF Magazine, were sold at arena events. Each issue features a collection of brief articles and previews of the then current superstars and happenings of the Federation.
These are tough to track down, since they weren't produced in as large of quantities as the monthly WWF Magazine. We've got a nice mix of programs, starting from 1985 and heading straight through 1992. The real bulk of the lot comes from 1987 through 1989. This means lot of Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Demolition, and many more.
Best yet, they're all priced to move. We've started price points at just $5 so you can get nostalgic and not have to sacrifice lunch tomorrow.

Spotlight: Ultimate Warrior (Coliseum Video 1989)
There's a boatload of wrestling footage out there. Where to begin? We're starting this Spotlight section to focus on individual items from our eBay store. Several times each week, we'll select a few items and give them a closer examination. This will give you an idea of whether the item is right for you or not. Let's start with a popular Coliseum Video title:
The Ultimate Warrior (1989)
The Warrior catches a lot of grief in these more contemporary times. Fact remains the guy was immensely popular at his peak, as illustrated by Coliseum Video releasing three separate videos dedicated to him. Today we're going to look at the first of those three releases.
Recounting his first two years in the WWF, this video captures the Warrior at his peak. He went on to win the WWF title from Hulk Hogan not long after the release of this video. Though this should have signified the Warrior reaching the next level, it in fact exposed him as a one-dimensional character that made an awkward fit in numerous storylines.
The two-hour video features the following footage:

- WWF Intercontinental Title Match (8/29/88): The Ultimate Warrior vs. The Honky Tonk Man
- 12/7/88: The Ultimate Warrior vs. The Honky Tonk Man
- 2/3/89: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Greg Valentine
- 1/29/89: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Haku
- 2/15/89: The Ulitmate Warrior vs. Randy Savage
- Super Posedown (Royal Rumble - 1/15/89): The Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude
- WWF Intercontinental Title Match (Wrestlemania V - 4/2/89): The Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude
- 4/22/89: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude
- 5/8/89: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude
- 1.27.88: vs. Hercules - This was the Warrior's first big feud. The match is the somewhat famous encounter that saw a tug of war over the chain break out between the Warrior and Herc. Things ended in a stallmate, as the chain wound up snapping in half.
- 8.29.88: vs. The Honky Tonk Man - One of the most famous Warrior moments, as he unceremoniously squashed the Honky Tonk Man in less than 30 seconds at the first Summerslam. The victory gave the Warrior his first title in the WWF and ended Honky's impressive one-and-a-half year reign as the Intercontinental champ.
- 4.2.89: vs. Rick Rude - One of the notables of Wrestlemania V, this match saw the Warrior's first reign as IC champ finish and Rick Rude's lone reign begin.

Just In: WWF LJN Posters
We were doing a bit of spring cleaning this week and uncovered a stack of posters from the WWF LJN Wrestling Superstars Collection. Collectors of the series know these colorful accessories are rarely found with their accompanying figures on the secondary market.
Instead of hoarding them for ourselves, we decided to scan them and add them to our eBay store. These, for the most part, are in fabulous shape. Best yet, we've priced them to move and attached free shipping to them. This is an ideal time to stock up on the often-missing accessories at a basement price.
Click here to view our selection of LJN posters.
