Coming Soon: More Than 160 Non-Rental WWF Coliseum Videos

We alluded to another big announcement last week and we're finally ready to let the cat out of the bag. We've acquired one of the most comprehensive WWF commercial video collections we've come across in our 15+ years dealing with wrestling videos.

Not only does this collection include virtually ever entry in the main 175-video line from Coliseum Video, but there are additional rarities from Coliseum Video that were released in small quantities. Best yet, each video is from a private collection, meaning they were never rentals. These types of videos are generally in great condition, but we can say without exaggeration that almost every video in this collection looks brand new.

Expect to see this incredible collection start to hit our eBay store tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 17). We'll hopefully have everything stocked in the store by weekend's conclusion. Here's a small sample of some of the elusive videos we've got in store for everyone, plus a few pictures of this wrestling video collector's dream come true:

  • Mind Games
  • Mega Matches '96 (IYH: Good Friends, Better Enemies)
  • Terminators '96
  • Countdown to Summerslam '94
  • 1994: Year in Review
  • Nearly all 20 volumes of the "Best of the WWF" series
  • Lumberjacks (IYH #2)

Just In: Over 75 WWF LJN Figures

We mentioned a few days ago that we had some big updates forthcoming. Here's the first: We're coming down the home stretch of listing over 75 figures from the LJN WWF Wrestling Superstars line.

This isn't like other plentiful LJN additions you're probably used to seeing on eBay. You know, the huge lots that have like 27 Iron Sheik figures, 13 Junkyard Dogs, and 11 Roddy Pipers filling out the bulk of said lot. We've got nothing against those guys, but let's be real here. If you've been collecting this line for any amount of time, you probably have those already. You're looking to dig in and find the likes of Jim Duggan, The Warlord, The Ultimate Warrior, and Haku. Fear not. As per the usual, we've got you covered when it concerns vintage wrestling collectibles.

Here's a small sample of what we've been adding to the eBay store today:

As you can see, we've got a lot of the LJN cream of the crop to choose from. This is only a small portion of the figures we added today, so give our eBay store a once over or five so you don't miss anything. Since we love to stock top-notch stuff, but hate to see it sit on the shelves for too long, we've got these all priced to scoot.

We haven't forgotten about you LJN customizers out there, either. We're introducing a new concept to the eBay wrestling figure experience. It's common for us to get a lot of beat up pieces when we acquire large collections. We like to pluck out the gems, then take the rest and stuff as many as we can into Priority Mail Large Flat Rate boxes. You'll basically get around 10 pounds of figures shipped to you at a fraction of the typical USPS rates because of the large flat rate box. Here are the first two Retropolis Flat Rate Box offerings:

We're practically giving these lots away, charging what works out to less than a buck per figure. Check them out here and here. Browse here for the rest of our WWF LJN inventory.

We'll have a small update tomorrow, but don't think we're about to slow down. We've still got another major update coming within the next week, so stay tuned.

New: WWF Hasbro & WCW Galoob

We received a modest shipment of vintage wrestling figures last week and we're ready to spread the wealth. We finished adding them to our eBay store yesterday and they're already flying off the shelves. Here's a sampling of what's still available:

  • WWF Hasbro MOC Figures: Amongst our additions in this area are the first series figures of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and the Big Boss Man. Series 2 figures Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper are also amongst the new additions. These are in great shape and priced to move. Check them out, along with our other packaged WWF Hasbro figures.

  • WCW Galoob MOC: We've got a pair of packaged figures from Galoob's short-lived WCW line. We've got Sting and Lex Luger. Both of these are tough finds on eBay and if you do a search, you'll see other sellers have them priced much higher than we do. Get them while you can.

  • WWF LJN Bendies: Finally, we've got a couple of entries from the short-lived LJN Bendies line. These didn't quite take off like the Wrestling Superstars line from LJN did. We've got The Iron Sheik and Roddy Piper on their first-issue backer cards. These hit the shelves in 1985. They came on different backer cards (which featured an empty ring instead of the background you see above) when they were released in subsequent years. Like everything else, these are priced to move. That coupled with the fact that these are on unpunched cards means they probably won't last long.

October Special: Free Shipping and Discounts

Graphic says it all. We're answering this little economic hiccup with a way to get your retro fix, get free shipping, and rack up some additional discounts, too. This is only good for October and only with us in our eBay store.

This discount is just in time, too. We received some excellent vintage wrestling figures that we put on the virtual pegs in our store this morning. We've also got a couple of very big product announcements coming this weekend. Stay tuned.

WWF LJN Wrestling Superstars

Just a heads up that we also specialize in WWF figures from the 1980s, namely LJN's Wrestling Superstars line. We've got a nice mix of figures, from the rare to the starter pieces. Here's a quick look at a few of our current items:

  • Hulk Hogan #2 (White Shirt): LJN released a pair of Hulk Hogan figures for its five-year anniversary doing the Wrestling Superstars line. Both were identical figures, except for their outfits. Here's the white shirt/red trunks version.

  • King Harley Race: Here's one of the few Harley Race figures ever produced. He's sans the crown, but in very nice shape. One of the greatly detailed pieces from the series. Check him out here.

  • Slick: Here's a real gem. It's the Doctor of Style Slick. It's common to find this figure packed with blemishes that reveal its gray base. There's a couple nicks on this one, but overall, it's a beautiful piece.

  • Brutus Beefcake: Before he was a barber, he was just Brutus Beefcake. This is his first figure, released in 1985. He's one of LJN's earliest detailed pieces thanks to his vivid trunks and bold boots and gloves. Best yet, he's priced to sell.

  • Kamala: There are few wrestlers with a more interesting look than the Ugandan Giant. Never mind he wasn't much to see in the ring. The character itself was striking and demanded your attention. His LJN figure is a true representation of that bold character. One of my personal favorites from the LJN series.

1985-86 WWF Coliseum Videos

We're stocking the shelves with plenty of vintage WWF footage this week, so let's not waste any time delving in here.

  • Best of the WWF: We filled in a few holes from the 20-volume run of this Coliseum Video series. New additions include Volumes 3 through 8. These videos offer a nice variety of matches, interview segments, and special features. Check these out, along with the rest of our Best of the WWF videos here.

  • Villains of the Squared Circle: Lots of your favorite wrestling baddies filling out this one. King Kong Bundy, Roddy Piper, Big John Studd, Randy Savage, Bobby Heenan, Don Muraco, Mr. Fuji, and that's just scratching the surface. Tons of historical moments here, including the infamous Andre the Giant haircut match, the Piper's Pit coconut incident with Jimmy Snuka, and Terry Funk's attack of the ring announcer prior to a match. Check it out here.

  • WWF's Explosive TNT Show: From 1984 through 1986, Vince McMahon and sidekick Lord Alfred Hayes ruled the prime time wrestling air waves with this quirky talk show format program. Wrestlers and managers would visit the studio and sit down with Vince and Alfred for a chat. This video compiles some of the more memorable interviews, along with the zaniest skits and segments from the show's three-year run. If you ever wanted to see Bret Hart dish out dating advice, this tape is a must own.

  • Wrestling's Living Legend Bruno Sammartino: So he's a bit jaded now. So what? This tape revists a glorious career that spanned many decades. Check out Bruno in his prime as WWWF champion, along with his mid-80s return to the squared circle, where he did battle with the likes of Roddy Piper and Randy Savage. An essential for the wrestling historian in training.
We'll check back in tomorrow with our October special. You'll want to take a look at it for an opportunity to get some huge discounts on our items.
