Just In: Vintage Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazines

Just a quick update tonight. It's time to get your nostalgic on. We just added more than 30 vintage wrestling magazines to our eBay store. This offering is mostly Pro Wrestling Illustrated titles ranging from 1983 to 1988. Lots of the stars of the day are featured throughout these pages like Flair, Hogan, Sammartino, Race, Savage, and DiBiase. We've got these things priced to move, so check them out here.

Just a heads up on what we've got planned for the coming week:

  • A pile of piano/music song books. All in great condition and all of them out of print. We'll get into specifics after we add them to the store.
  • More wrestling magazines
  • Our latest shipment of classic WWF and WCW videos
And as a reminder, don't forget you can save 20 percent on your next order with us simply by subscribing to our eBay newsletter. Get those details here. Until next time, stay retro.

New WWF Video Fixed Price Listings

We're testing the waters on eBay's new 30-day fixed listing format by listing some classic Coliseum Videos. Check 'em out.

  • Even More Unusual Matches: Lots of your favorites here in unorthodox matches. Hulk Hogan in not one, but TWO Texas Death Matches? A tag team battle royal? Midgets, women, and pets? It's all here.

  • Best of the WWF Volume 6: Highlight here is an early Hulk Hogan/Macho Man WWF title match from Madison Square Garden. Tons of heat here and it's got quite the surprise finish. Also check out matches from Ricky Steamboat, Terry Funk, Ivan Putski, and more.

  • Brawl in the Family: One of the tougher videos of the mid-90s to track down. If nothing else, these two-hour Coliseum offerings give us lots of old favorites like Razor Ramon, Diesel, King Kong Bundy, Bret Hart, and more. Speaking of Bret, here he's taking on his brother Owen in a rarely seen match-up. Check it out this video here.

  • Tag Team Champions: Before the tag team title picture got all messy in the WWF/WWE, the titles actually had some value. This is an essential tape for anyone trying to catch up on the history of the tag straps from their inception to 1986. Lots of title matches and almost as many title changes. Lots of rare footage featuring the likes of The Dream Team, British Bulldogs, US Express, Samoans, Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas, and more. Check it out here.
As always, you can find hundreds of similar videos in our eBay store. Don't forget we've got a big 60 percent off sale going on right now, so get in there while the pickings are still ripe. We've got an update set for tomorrow, so check back then.

60 Percent Off Select Items

We've marked down over 60 items by 60 percent for a limited time. This includes a number of our wrestling videos. We're trying to make room for incoming stock. The only way that's going to happen is to slash the prices of select existing stock and pass the savings on to the customers. Browse our eBay store to check out all sale items, in addition to our other merchandise.

Factory Sealed WWF Videos

We've got a couple updates lined up for today. First, we just received a few factory sealed WWF videos. Anyone who follows this particular niche is aware how in demand brand new vintage wrestling videos have become in the last three or four years.

Bloopers, Bleeps, and Bodyslams (1985): Here's the first video Coliseum Video ever released for the WWF. This means we're talking about a nearly 24-year-old unopened video. These clamshell cases were sealed up by a foil seal on the side, making it easy to know whether the video is factory sealed or not. Considering most of the sealed videos from this era have $350+ price tags attached to them, this one's a steal at just $99.95. Check it out here.

2nd Annual Battle of the Superstars (1991): Sealed videos from the 1991-1994 era are a bit more common, but the inclusion of this key chain is proof enough that you're getting the real deal here. Several of the allegedly factory sealed copies of this title don't include the key chain, which indicates they're just re-sealed. Get a true factory sealed copy for just $21.95 here.

Crunch Classic (1992): Likewise, you're going to find a few of these on eBay, but not many of them indicate the inclusion of the Coliseum Video premium. Again, you can get the real thing for a super low price here.

WWF Attitude Era Videos

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past two weeks. We've spent a lot of our time editing our eBay listings in preparation for their October policy changes. We're going to make up for lost time this weekend, however, as we've got a ton of new stuff to add to the store. This includes circa 1980s wrestling magazines, early '90s wrestling videos, and some wrestling odds and ends you won't find many other places.

In the meantime, we've added quite a few videos from the early months of the WWF Attitude Era. This phase in the company's history more or less got its start with the departure of Bret Hart in November 1997, resulting in the creation of the Mr. McMahon character. This, of course, led to a novel feud with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that would alter the face of the industry.

With that in mind, here's a chance to catch a lot of the PPV shows from this time. Lots of great matches and payoffs to be found here. These titles include:

  • Royal Rumble '98 (featuring an Undertaker/Shawn Michaels WWF title match)
  • No Way Out (featuring DX and Savio Vega taking on Steve Austin, Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, and Owen Hart)
  • Wrestlemania XIV (featuring Steve Austin's first WWF title win)
  • Unforgiven (featuring Stone Cold defending his WWF title against Dude Love)
  • Over the Edge (featuring Stone Cold defending his WWF title against Dude Love in a No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere match)
  • King of the Ring '98 (featuring the infamous Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell match)
  • Fully Loaded '98 (featuring Mankind and Kane taking on The Undertaker and Steve Austin in a WWF tag team title match)
  • Summerslam '98 (featuring a great top-to-bottom card including The Undertaker going after Austin's WWF title, The Rock defending his Intercontinental title against HHH in a ladder match, and Mankind defending the tag team titles on his own)
  • Survivor Series '98 (featuring a one-night tournament to crown a new WWF champion)
We'll be updating every day this weekend, so check back in.

WWF Columbia House & Royal Rumble '89

Just a small update today. We've added nine videos from the short-lived WWF and Columbia House joint venture. The 17-video series lasted just two years, but managed to collect a great deal of essential late 1980s and early 1990s WWF history. Each video has a theme, ranging from a wrestler profile (i.e. Hulk Hogan) to a specific type of match (i.e. steel cage matches).

The videos were only available through mail order. Each video rarely breaks an hour, which meant a more attractive price tag for consumers. The entries to the series serve well as primers to this era in the WWF. The variety of the themes allow for a great deal of PPV matches, exclusive matches, title changes, and gimmick matches to get featured.

Best yet, we've got these videos available at some very reasonable prices. Most are under $10. And don't forget, with the 20 percent discount you'll get for signing up for our newsletter (see details in post below), the savings are even greater.

The videos you see above are actual scans of the ones we added to our eBay store this morning. Between these additions and previously existing inventory, we've got almost the entire run of WWF Columbia House videos. Check them all out here.

And just so we can round out things at an even 10 this afternoon, we've added the second Royal Rumble at a super low price. Royal Rumble 1989 has the distinction of being the first Rumble show to make it to commercial video. WWE did a nice job of releasing the entire history of the Rumble in an anthology box set last year, but because of copyright issues, there's edited content. This includes music and the removal of anyone saying "WWF." So check out what you missed. And if you want to fill in the holes of your early Royal Rumble collection, we've got you covered. Go here to see our other Royal Rumble commercial videos currently in stock.

Just In: WWF Coliseum Videos

We just received a nice little shipment of WWF Coliseum Videos, predominantly from the early to mid-1990s. They're up for grabs in our eBay store. Titles include:

  • Invasion of the Bodyslammers
  • Wham, Bam, Bodyslam
  • Bashed in the USA
  • Global Warfare
  • Wrestling's Greatest Champions
  • Greatest Matches Ever!
  • Greatest Steel Cage Matches Ever!
  • Inside the WWF
  • Bloopers, Bleeps, and Bodyslams
  • Paul Bearer's Hits from the Crypt
  • WWF Greatest Hits
  • Wrestling's Tough Guys
  • WWF High Flyers
  • WWF Fan Favorites
  • Monday Night RAW Prime Cuts
  • Smack 'Em, Whack 'Em
Greatest Matches Ever! comes from Coliseum Video's more reasonably priced line of videos. Whereas their standard releases ran anywhere between $40 and $60, their shorter videos like this one usually went for around $20. They didn't produce a ton of these, which has made it a relatively difficult find. We've got it here for $39.95; about $10 less than what other sellers are requesting.

Monday Night RAW Prime Cuts is probably one of the best videos Coliseum released in its 12 years of operation from a wrestling standpoint. The video includes some classics such as Shawn Michaels putting his Intercontinental title on the line against Marty Jannetty, The Quebecers chasing after the Steiner Brothers' tag team titles, and Doink the Clown squaring off against Randy Savage. You're also going to see Razor Ramon win his first Intercontinental title and the match that later proved to be the beginning of the storyline that saw Crush turn heel. We've got it here. Best yet, it's a non-rental, meaning it comes from a private collection.

Greatest Hits is another one of those less expensive Coliseum releases that has gone on to become a sought after title. It's got a rarely seen Ultimate Warrior WWF title defense against Ted DiBiase. Probably the highlight of the video is the infrequently seen Texas Tornado and Mr. Perfect Intercontinental title match. Most of you have probably seen the Summerslam '90 match where the Tornado strips Perfect of the title, but this is where Perfect regained it. Check it out here.

Greatest Champions is an interesting title because it collects a lot of matches most fans haven't seen. This includes the Hart Foundation defending their titles against Power and Glory, Hulk Hogan putting his WWF title up for grabs in a Desert Storm match against Sgt. Slaughter, and more. A nicely priced video for the rarity of the matches it contains. Check it out here.

Speaking of rare matches, Wrestling's Greatest Steel Cage Matches Ever! houses a few. Though you've got some popular matches such as Paul Orndorff against Hulk Hogan and then the Hulkster taking on the Big Boss Man, there's a rare six-man gem on here that pits the Hart Foundation and the Honky Tonk Man against Strike Force (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) and Randy Savage. Remember, these all take place within a steel cage. Check it out here.

You're going to be able to find other previously mentioned titles such as Invasion of the Bodyslammers, Smack 'Em, Whack 'Em, and Global Warfare in our expanding Five Spot section. Everything in this section can be had for five bucks.

That's all for today, but check back tomorrow. We're going to post several WWF videos from the short-lived Columbia House collection at some really low prices. And remember to bookmark our store and blog if you haven't done so already. We've got a couple specials slated for September you won't want to miss.
