WWF Summerslam with Coliseum Video Shrink Wrap

Anyone who's kept tabs on how factory-sealed wrestling videos fare on the secondary market knows how pricey things can get. Likewise are the videos that, while open, still have their original factory shrink wrap included. We've added a handful of such videos to our eBay store and at affordable prices (especially considering the titles fetch a "pretty penny" on their own). Check 'em out:

  • Summerslam '90: Features a double main event of Hulk Hogan vs. Earthquake and Rick Rude taking on The Ultimate Warrior within a steel cage for the WWF title. Also notable for the 2/3 falls tag team title match between Demoliton and The Hart Foundation.

  • Summerslam '92: Another Summerslam featuring a double main event. This time around, it's The Ultimate Warrior going after Randy Savage's WWF Title and the British Bulldog looking to capture the Intercontinental title from Bret Hart on his home soil.

  • Summerslam '94: Features a classic steel cage match for the WWF Title between Bret and Owen Hart. Also, we've got the infamous Undertaker vs. Undertaker main event.

1980s WWF from Coliseum Video

We're still here, folks. We apologize for the lack of updates over the last several years. We're back and ready to roll for the big holiday shopping season. We've got some specials lined up and as always, we've got you covered on the vintage collectible front.

You're going to want to head over to our eBay store and check out our '80s wrestling video section. We just added more than 20 videos from the glorious '80s, courtesy of Coliseum Video. Some of the highlights include:
These are all priced to move. And don't forget about our 20 percent discount for subscribing to our newsletter. We've had many people take advantage of this offer. It's as simple as subscribing to the newsletter. We'll take care of the rest. We'll be updating almost every day through the new year, so check back daily.

WWF Coliseum Video Additions (Update V)

It's been a busy week, but we've finally listed the last video from the mega collection. Interest has been high and many titles aren't lasting more than a few hours in our store. Even with that, our selection of '80s and early '90s wrestling titles is among the best of the eBay best. Here's a look at what we've added recently:

Best of the WWF

From 1985 to 1989, Coliseum released a 20-volume Best of the WWF series.
These volumes included classic matches, unseen matches, interviews, and memorable segments.
We've got all 20 volumes up for grabs, so check them out:

WWF In Your House

Though Coliseum released these under different titles, they're almost all here. True rarities such as Lumberjacks, Cold Day in Hell, and Mind Games are all up for grabs.

WWF Coliseum Video Additions (Update IV)

The finish line is in sight. We're almost finished adding the immense private collection to the store. The response over the last week has been fantastic. We've had several repeat buyers and a few trying to get at certain titles before we even add them to the store. Just so you all keep pace, here's what we've been busy adding:

Survivor Series 1987 through 1997

Coliseum Video released the first 11 Survivor Series events and we've got 'em all. From the inaugural show that featured Andre the Giant as the sole survivor in the main event to the 1997 edition that featured the infamous Montreal Screwjob, all the best moments of Survivor Series in its first decade are here for the taking.

Royal Rumble 1989 through 1997

We've got another update around the corner. We'll highlight some of the rarest In Your House videos in addition to the classic Best of the WWF series.

WWF Coliseum Video Additions (Update III)

Another day, another stack of videos added to the store. We added all of the Coliseum Video-released Wrestlemania and Summerslam videos this evening. That includes Wrestlemania 1 through 13 and Summerslam '88 through '97. Click on the images below to check them all out.

WWF Coliseum Video Additions (Update II)

Busy, busy, busy. We've spent the last three days plugging away at getting this immense collection into the eBay store. We're about halfway through at this point, but the reception thus far has been a blast. Lots of people taking advantage our great selection of high-quality videos and our October special (details here). One buyer has already enjoyed this special a couple of times, getting a cumulative $50 knocked off their orders in addition to free shipping.

Titles are going fast. Some of the high-end titles are getting snatched up almost immediately after we list them. Not sure if that speaks well of their rarity, our prices, or both. At any rate, don't snooze on anything. If you see it, grab it, because recent trends suggest a lot of these videos won't last long.

With that said, we've still got a ton of great '80s and '90s videos to choose from. We're now boasting over 300 wrestling videos in our store, an impressive stat considering we don't stock the junk you can find from every other wrestling seller on the block. Here's a quick look at some of the additions we've made in the last 48 hours:

WWF Personality Videos

One thing Coliseum was always consistent with was its personality sub-set of videos. They mixed the profile's best matches, moments, and interviews into an attractive package. Some of our favorites you'll find include:
Supertape

WWF and Coliseum followed up the very successful 20-installment Best of the WWF series with a similar line in the early 1990s. Supertape, a five-volume set, continued the Best of the WWF's format of collecting matches, interviews, segments, and features. The set finished out just as Coliseum started compiling almost entirely all dark matches on these types of videos. Subsequently, there are a lot of matches here from venues such as MSG and the Boston Garden.

Supertape '92, the fifth installment (pictured above), included several dark matches in addition to the complete This Tuesday in Texas PPV that aired the week after Survivor Series '91. This event didn't get released anywhere else, so this volume has become sought after.

We've got another update coming tomorrow. We're adding in all of the Coliseum Video-released Summerslam and Wrestlemania events, so check back and browse the store. Until next time...

WWF Coliseum Video Additions (Update I)

We've started the lengthy task of adding the immense collection we told you all about late last week. There's a nice mix of bargain titles and top-shelf pieces added to our eBay store so far. Some buyers have already secured themselves a few of the newest additions, but there's plenty more to go. Just don't sleep on a given title, though, because while there are hundreds of titles, there aren't multiples for a lot of them.

Here's a smattering of we added this weekend:

  • Countdown to Summerslam '94: Though only 30 minutes in duration, this is a highly sought-after title from Coliseum. The folks at Coliseum threw this one in with purchase of Summrslam '94 and a small handful of titles they released at the same time. It's tough to find on eBay and when it does surface, it commands serious cash. This one's without its original box, so we're offering our customers the shot at adding a legitimately rare video to their collection at a reasonable price. Check it here.
  • Wrestling Grudge Matches (1993): Not to be confused with the 1985 release from Coliseum. This one packs a lot of dark matches and questionable feuds onto a two-hour tape. Lots of your old favorites here, though, and of course, this is a tough one to track down. It's infrequently on eBay and true to form, fetches a pretty penny when it is offered. We've got it at a great price, especially considering it's not a former rental.
  • Mega Matches '95: Another one you don't find too often. Coliseum Videos from the 1994-1996 era are real hit or miss. Either you can't do a search for videos without find some and have a near impossible time finding the others. This is one of the latter. It's your standard two-hour fare of dark matches, but with a parade of classic stars, an immaculate box and video quality, and attractive price, this one's a no-brainer.
  • Wrestlefest '93: Coliseum started getting a little goofy about some of its releases in 1993. Though they had offered a more affordable line of videos outside of their main line, they hadn't released any regularly priced videos outside of their standard WF000 catalog numbering system. Here's one of the first videos from Coliseum that broke that tradition. I'd imagine fewer quantities sold, because this one isn't a regular on eBay. We've got it here at a very nice price, again considering market demand and its non-rental status.
Here's a brief listing of some other titles we added this afternoon:
  • The Undertaker: He Buries Them Alive
  • Wrestlefest '95
  • Wrestlefest '94
  • Brawl in the Family
  • Bret Hitman Hart (1994)
  • Razon Ramon (1994)
  • Inside the WWF
We'll have another update tomorrow. We're trying to stick to at least a loose theme each day we list. Here's some of the themes you can expect to see this week:
  • Best of the WWF
  • In Your House
  • Wrestlemania
  • Summerslam
  • Survivor Series
  • Hulkamania
  • Supertape
Until then, drop by our store and as always, feel free to let us know if we can help you track anything down.

Coming Soon: More Than 160 Non-Rental WWF Coliseum Videos

We alluded to another big announcement last week and we're finally ready to let the cat out of the bag. We've acquired one of the most comprehensive WWF commercial video collections we've come across in our 15+ years dealing with wrestling videos.

Not only does this collection include virtually ever entry in the main 175-video line from Coliseum Video, but there are additional rarities from Coliseum Video that were released in small quantities. Best yet, each video is from a private collection, meaning they were never rentals. These types of videos are generally in great condition, but we can say without exaggeration that almost every video in this collection looks brand new.

Expect to see this incredible collection start to hit our eBay store tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 17). We'll hopefully have everything stocked in the store by weekend's conclusion. Here's a small sample of some of the elusive videos we've got in store for everyone, plus a few pictures of this wrestling video collector's dream come true:

  • Mind Games
  • Mega Matches '96 (IYH: Good Friends, Better Enemies)
  • Terminators '96
  • Countdown to Summerslam '94
  • 1994: Year in Review
  • Nearly all 20 volumes of the "Best of the WWF" series
  • Lumberjacks (IYH #2)

Just In: Over 75 WWF LJN Figures

We mentioned a few days ago that we had some big updates forthcoming. Here's the first: We're coming down the home stretch of listing over 75 figures from the LJN WWF Wrestling Superstars line.

This isn't like other plentiful LJN additions you're probably used to seeing on eBay. You know, the huge lots that have like 27 Iron Sheik figures, 13 Junkyard Dogs, and 11 Roddy Pipers filling out the bulk of said lot. We've got nothing against those guys, but let's be real here. If you've been collecting this line for any amount of time, you probably have those already. You're looking to dig in and find the likes of Jim Duggan, The Warlord, The Ultimate Warrior, and Haku. Fear not. As per the usual, we've got you covered when it concerns vintage wrestling collectibles.

Here's a small sample of what we've been adding to the eBay store today:

As you can see, we've got a lot of the LJN cream of the crop to choose from. This is only a small portion of the figures we added today, so give our eBay store a once over or five so you don't miss anything. Since we love to stock top-notch stuff, but hate to see it sit on the shelves for too long, we've got these all priced to scoot.

We haven't forgotten about you LJN customizers out there, either. We're introducing a new concept to the eBay wrestling figure experience. It's common for us to get a lot of beat up pieces when we acquire large collections. We like to pluck out the gems, then take the rest and stuff as many as we can into Priority Mail Large Flat Rate boxes. You'll basically get around 10 pounds of figures shipped to you at a fraction of the typical USPS rates because of the large flat rate box. Here are the first two Retropolis Flat Rate Box offerings:

We're practically giving these lots away, charging what works out to less than a buck per figure. Check them out here and here. Browse here for the rest of our WWF LJN inventory.

We'll have a small update tomorrow, but don't think we're about to slow down. We've still got another major update coming within the next week, so stay tuned.

New: WWF Hasbro & WCW Galoob

We received a modest shipment of vintage wrestling figures last week and we're ready to spread the wealth. We finished adding them to our eBay store yesterday and they're already flying off the shelves. Here's a sampling of what's still available:

  • WWF Hasbro MOC Figures: Amongst our additions in this area are the first series figures of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and the Big Boss Man. Series 2 figures Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper are also amongst the new additions. These are in great shape and priced to move. Check them out, along with our other packaged WWF Hasbro figures.

  • WCW Galoob MOC: We've got a pair of packaged figures from Galoob's short-lived WCW line. We've got Sting and Lex Luger. Both of these are tough finds on eBay and if you do a search, you'll see other sellers have them priced much higher than we do. Get them while you can.

  • WWF LJN Bendies: Finally, we've got a couple of entries from the short-lived LJN Bendies line. These didn't quite take off like the Wrestling Superstars line from LJN did. We've got The Iron Sheik and Roddy Piper on their first-issue backer cards. These hit the shelves in 1985. They came on different backer cards (which featured an empty ring instead of the background you see above) when they were released in subsequent years. Like everything else, these are priced to move. That coupled with the fact that these are on unpunched cards means they probably won't last long.

October Special: Free Shipping and Discounts

Graphic says it all. We're answering this little economic hiccup with a way to get your retro fix, get free shipping, and rack up some additional discounts, too. This is only good for October and only with us in our eBay store.

This discount is just in time, too. We received some excellent vintage wrestling figures that we put on the virtual pegs in our store this morning. We've also got a couple of very big product announcements coming this weekend. Stay tuned.

WWF LJN Wrestling Superstars

Just a heads up that we also specialize in WWF figures from the 1980s, namely LJN's Wrestling Superstars line. We've got a nice mix of figures, from the rare to the starter pieces. Here's a quick look at a few of our current items:

  • Hulk Hogan #2 (White Shirt): LJN released a pair of Hulk Hogan figures for its five-year anniversary doing the Wrestling Superstars line. Both were identical figures, except for their outfits. Here's the white shirt/red trunks version.

  • King Harley Race: Here's one of the few Harley Race figures ever produced. He's sans the crown, but in very nice shape. One of the greatly detailed pieces from the series. Check him out here.

  • Slick: Here's a real gem. It's the Doctor of Style Slick. It's common to find this figure packed with blemishes that reveal its gray base. There's a couple nicks on this one, but overall, it's a beautiful piece.

  • Brutus Beefcake: Before he was a barber, he was just Brutus Beefcake. This is his first figure, released in 1985. He's one of LJN's earliest detailed pieces thanks to his vivid trunks and bold boots and gloves. Best yet, he's priced to sell.

  • Kamala: There are few wrestlers with a more interesting look than the Ugandan Giant. Never mind he wasn't much to see in the ring. The character itself was striking and demanded your attention. His LJN figure is a true representation of that bold character. One of my personal favorites from the LJN series.

1985-86 WWF Coliseum Videos

We're stocking the shelves with plenty of vintage WWF footage this week, so let's not waste any time delving in here.

  • Best of the WWF: We filled in a few holes from the 20-volume run of this Coliseum Video series. New additions include Volumes 3 through 8. These videos offer a nice variety of matches, interview segments, and special features. Check these out, along with the rest of our Best of the WWF videos here.

  • Villains of the Squared Circle: Lots of your favorite wrestling baddies filling out this one. King Kong Bundy, Roddy Piper, Big John Studd, Randy Savage, Bobby Heenan, Don Muraco, Mr. Fuji, and that's just scratching the surface. Tons of historical moments here, including the infamous Andre the Giant haircut match, the Piper's Pit coconut incident with Jimmy Snuka, and Terry Funk's attack of the ring announcer prior to a match. Check it out here.

  • WWF's Explosive TNT Show: From 1984 through 1986, Vince McMahon and sidekick Lord Alfred Hayes ruled the prime time wrestling air waves with this quirky talk show format program. Wrestlers and managers would visit the studio and sit down with Vince and Alfred for a chat. This video compiles some of the more memorable interviews, along with the zaniest skits and segments from the show's three-year run. If you ever wanted to see Bret Hart dish out dating advice, this tape is a must own.

  • Wrestling's Living Legend Bruno Sammartino: So he's a bit jaded now. So what? This tape revists a glorious career that spanned many decades. Check out Bruno in his prime as WWWF champion, along with his mid-80s return to the squared circle, where he did battle with the likes of Roddy Piper and Randy Savage. An essential for the wrestling historian in training.
We'll check back in tomorrow with our October special. You'll want to take a look at it for an opportunity to get some huge discounts on our items.

Just a heads up on what we've got planned for the coming week:
